Cookie Banner Design Preview

Four design options for the FindMySchool cookie consent banner. Click any design's Preview in position button to see it render in its real bottom-right position. Click Show expanded stateto preview the "Learn more" view. Click the banner buttons (Accept / Reject / Learn more) to see the full interaction flow.

Design review only. This page is not part of production. No real cookies are set, no real Google Analytics consent is changed, and the four banners here are not wired to anything. Once a design is picked, a follow-up plan builds the real banner and consent logic.

Design 5 — Hybrid (AdSense-ready, recommended)

Design 2 width, Design 3 height. Inline "Learn more" → /cookies. Accept all / Reject all buttons (Accept first). "Customise preferences" opens a modal with three live toggles: Essential (always on), Analytics, and Advertising. Rendered as though AdSense is already enabled so you can see the full final UX.

Design 1 — Minimal Corner Card

Quiet and conservative. White card, one sentence, Reject/Accept buttons of equal weight. Lowest visual weight — reads like an apology.

Design 2 — Expandable Card

Same compact default as Design 1, with a chevron that reveals a second paragraph about anonymous-by-default analytics. Progressive disclosure.

Design 3 — Horizontal Bar

Wider and shorter. Cookie icon on the left, body in the middle, buttons stacked on the right. Modern SaaS aesthetic, less vertical space.

Design 4 — Brand Gradient Card

Larger card with a teal-to-blue brand accent strip at the top. Two-sentence body, cookie icon beside the title. Positions the banner as a brand moment.

About the states

  • Default: the resting state, shown on first visit. Title, one-sentence body, Reject and Accept buttons of equal weight.
  • Expanded:the "Learn more" view — adds a second paragraph explaining that Google Analytics runs in an anonymous mode by default and only switches to full measurement when you accept.
  • Accepted / rejected: banner fades out and a confirmation toast appears at the top of the page. In production, this is where the banner would write a fms_consent cookie and call Google Consent Mode v2 to update the analytics state.
