Question 1

What counts as a sixth form college on this Stockton-on-Tees page?

Accepted Answer

This page focuses on dedicated post-16 sixth form providers. In practice that includes specialist 16 to 19 academies and similar standalone providers, while excluding the broader school-attached sixth form set.

Question 2

Why is the colleges page smaller than the full sixth form list in Stockton-on-Tees?

Accepted Answer

Most sixth form results belong to schools that also teach younger year groups. The colleges page removes those broader school-based sixth forms and keeps the dedicated post-16 provider subset only.

Question 3

Can I still compare A-level performance across colleges in Stockton-on-Tees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The ranking, map, and neighbourhood sections all work on the filtered dedicated-provider set, so you can compare standalone post-16 options directly.
