Outdoor learning was active and varied on the inspection day. Children moved freely between inside and outside, balanced on circular swings, rode bikes and watered plants with measuring jugs. Weekly yoga and exploration of seasonal change in a nearby park added physical movement and contact with nature.

Relationships are a clear strength. Children formed strong attachments to staff, including their key person, and behaved well as adults modelled kindness and respect. At lunch, children practised using cutlery while staff discussed spinach and how to lift it with a fork, linking self-care with conversation.

Support for communication and inclusion was equally specific. Staff respected home languages, used visual symbols and had completed bucket time training to develop attention and communication. Coordinated, individual support for children with SEND was a further strength. Its improvement point was to establish more consistent ways for parents to support learning at home.
