Warm relationships and purposeful physical play define the clearest picture of Beis Yaakov Creche. Ofsted judged the setting Good in November 2024, finding children happy, settled and secure with caring staff. The Edgware Road setting has capacity for 22 children.
The balanced curriculum was shaped around children's interests and learning needs. Curiosity, concentration and very good behaviour were recurring strengths, while safeguarding arrangements were effective.
Physical development was a clear strength for babies and older children. Babies explored sensory resources and built core strength through tummy time, while older children used water containers, tricycles, balls and outdoor apparatus. These practical experiences developed coordination and confidence rather than keeping physical learning separate from play.
Songs, rhymes, stories and new vocabulary supported early communication, while daily outdoor play gave children exercise and fresh air. Children also shared and took turns without prompting. This sits within the Early Years Foundation Stage: learning is built through play and everyday routines across communication, physical, personal and wider areas of development, rather than taught as a school timetable.
Children formed positive relationships with warm staff, and parents valued both the care and the information about progress. Home-learning suggestions gave families a practical bridge between the setting and home.
Safety teaching was woven into routines, including careful use of stairs and discussion about chewing food properly. Leaders supported and mentored the team. The November 2024 inspection found safeguarding effective.

Beis Yaakov Creche's strongest evidence is relational and active: settled children, kind behaviour, warm staff and physical learning that ranges from tummy time to tricycles.
