Children settled warmly in January 2024 and confidently sought reassurance from staff. Mealtimes combined care with independence: children washed their hands, served food, collected cutlery and used it themselves. The inspection found nutritious meals tailored to allergies and dietary requirements.

Support for children with SEND drew together nursery staff, families and relevant specialists so help could be arranged promptly. Additional funding supported literacy through a lending library for children and parents. Families also received regular developmental updates.

Respectful behaviour was modelled by adults, and children were polite towards friends. Daily routines carried developmental value too: tidying before meals, handwashing and serving food all asked children to take responsibility in manageable steps.
