In May 2023, children practised putting on and removing shoes and coats, then cut soft fruit and poured their own drinks at snack time. These small routines gave independence a concrete place in the day. Parents were involved in settling and could join pre-school events and discuss their children's development.

Safeguarding arrangements were effective at the May 2023 inspection. Staff understood how to respond to concerns, and inspectors recorded suitability checks, risk assessment and close supervision. A later July 2023 compliance record followed an incident in which a child left unsupervised. Ofsted found that the provider had improved collection procedures, the requirements were met, and the setting remained registered.
