Cultural learning was similarly concrete. Children tasted naan bread during Diwali activities and made flags from different countries. These experiences connected the setting's diverse cultures with food, art and conversation rather than treating celebration as an abstract theme.

Friendships were supported through turn-taking and sharing, giving children repeated practice in handling a busy group kindly.
