Outdoor time had real substance. Inspectors saw mixed-age football and parachute games, while collaborative construction prompted children to negotiate, share pieces and build a house together. Older children adapted their play for younger friends.

Staff knew children well and listened to accounts of their school day. Relationships were warm, routines clear and supervision careful. Staff also spoke with teachers at collection so important information could shape support that afternoon.

Safeguarding arrangements were effective in June 2023. Staff understood reporting and whistle-blowing duties, completed regular training and used risk assessments for premises and resources.

The club operates from St Francis de Sales Junior School, Church Road, London N17 8AZ. In June 2023, term-time care ran from 3.15pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The timetable is dated to that inspection and may have changed since.
