The practical offer is unusually broad for a term-time setting: full days sit alongside five-morning and five-afternoon patterns, with breakfast club extending the start of the day. Optional Yoga, Music, Gymnastics, French, Drama, Violin, Computer and Ballet classes add variety, though they are charged separately.

Learning and Named Experiences

The Montessori method gives the day its structure. It sits alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage. That framework organises learning across communication, physical, personal, social and subject-based areas while also setting expectations for children's development and care. In practice here, children select suitable activities while practitioners observe their development and introduce materials that match their interests and next steps.

Montessori Practical Life Exercises turn familiar household actions into work on coordination, fine motor control and concentration. Montessori Sensorial Material helps children sort, compare and connect new information with what they already know, while Academic Materials introduce reading, writing and arithmetic. This is a concrete curriculum: pouring, polishing, handling shapes and arranging materials matter because the process builds control and sustained attention.

That approach was visible in February 2023. Children filled and poured from jugs, polished with cloths and used sensory touch to explore two-dimensional shapes. Creative work connected to a study of homes and buildings, with children painting boxes and testing large blocks to see which would balance. Books, songs and questioning supported language and literacy.

Optional classes include Yoga, Music, Gymnastics, French, Drama, Violin, Computer and Ballet. The nursery also publishes a broader menu including cooking, computing, art, crafts, a nature table, a pet corner and imaginative play.

In February 2023, practitioners built care around close observation and regular communication with parents. Starting-point information and children's own interests shaped activities, while ongoing observations identified where a child needed another step or specialist help.

Children with special educational needs and disabilities received work coordinated with other professionals. Staff also learned key words from children's home languages, giving children learning English an immediate bridge into nursery life.

Independence ran through care as well as teaching at that inspection. Children managed coats and shoes, served themselves at meals, poured water and tidied before changing activity. Practitioners modelled calm expectations and gave children time to answer questions. Safeguarding arrangements were effective, with daily risk assessments, close supervision and staff who understood referral procedures.

There were two clear weaknesses. Mathematical vocabulary was not used consistently across all areas, and younger children's language and home experiences were not always extended well enough. Sessions and Attendance

The full day runs from 08:45 to 16:00. Morning sessions run from 08:45 to 11:45 and afternoon sessions from 13:15 to 16:00; the published pricing model is built around five mornings or five afternoons. breakfast club runs from 08:00 to 08:45. Occasional sessions are restricted to children already attending either five full mornings or five full afternoons.

The nursery follows term dates and publishes optional extended-week holiday clubs subject to uptake. Families interested in those weeks are encouraged to register that interest well in advance.

Funding and Paid Extras

The nursery accepts universal early education funding for three- and four-year-olds, extended entitlement for eligible three- and four-year-olds, and eligible working-family funding for younger children.
