Schools in Addlestone

Railway services arrived at Addlestone station in 1848, converting a modest Surrey agricultural village into the commercial and administrative centre it remains for the Borough of Runnymede today. The Wey Navigation canal edges the western side of the town, a reminder of the waterway trade that shaped the area before the railway came. Around 16,000 people live in the town.

Addlestone and New Haw together form the school-competitive core of the borough, with families in both districts competing for primary places. South Western Railway trains from Addlestone station reach London Waterloo in around fifty minutes on the Chertsey loop line.
