Nursery at Reach Academy Hanworth Park

Last reviewed: October 2026 · Inspection data and key information above update regularly, however, this review below is refreshed bi-annually and may not reflect recent changes. Contact the nursery directly to confirm current arrangements. If you spot anything outdated or inaccurate, please let us know.

At a Glance

A dedicated nursery block, its own play space and access to a school farm give Reach Academy Hanworth Park’s nursery plans a distinctive physical shape. This is planned provision within an all-through school in Feltham, with outdoor learning built into the building design.

Opening was tied to completion of the building, with September 2026 anticipated for the first nursery intake. That was an expectation, rather than a confirmed opening date. For families considering this provision, the distinction matters: the nursery plans describe a future setting, rather than establish that children have started attending. There is no Ofsted graded rating yet.

The Nursery Day

The planned Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum combines play with direct teaching. Its priorities are children’s physical development, communication and language, and personal, emotional and social development. In parent terms, the focus is on how children move, communicate and relate to other people, alongside what they learn.

Two strands, Knowledge and Skills, organise the curriculum. Short carpet sessions suited to children’s ages sit alongside planned learning provision. Adults model learning and use interactions with children as part of teaching, while parents are involved through close communication. The intended balance gives children time both to explore through play and to learn directly from an adult.

Outdoor space is a concrete part of the design. Alongside a dedicated nursery play area, plans include access to the school farm to the north and the possibility of sharing spaces with Reach Academy Feltham Nursery. These are planned facilities and arrangements, so they should be understood as the intended learning environment.

Care and Support

Communication with parents forms part of the early-years curriculum approach, linking learning provision with family involvement. At school level, the team includes an EYFS lead and a SENDCo, giving early years and special educational needs identifiable leadership roles.

Family support extends beyond classrooms. A family support practitioner works with families at home, offering guidance on parenting strategies, and delivers Family Links parenting programmes. The school’s inclusion team provides emotional support and practical help during family difficulties, with external agencies involved where targeted support is needed. These are school-level services, rather than a description of nursery staffing or daily care routines.

Moving On to Reception

Nursery attendance does not guarantee a Reception place. Families must make a separate Reception application through the local authority’s Common Application Form; Hounslow coordinates admission to the school. The deadline for the September 2025 intake was 15 January 2025, a past admissions cycle.

Keep the application separate from the educational journey. A shared school identity and an early-years curriculum spanning nursery and Reception do not themselves secure admission.

Practical Information

Nursery enquiries can be made through the school’s contact form or by calling 02088311620. Admissions questions can also go to admissions@reachacademy.org.uk. Reach Academy Feltham Nursery is a separate local option within Reach Schools: it should not be confused with the planned Hanworth Park provision.

FAQs

September 2026 was the anticipated first intake, conditional on the building being fully completed. Families should contact the school to confirm opening arrangements before making childcare plans.

The planned EYFS curriculum emphasises movement, language and communication, and personal, social and emotional development. Knowledge and Skills strands combine adult teaching, carpet sessions and play, giving children different ways to learn.

The design includes a dedicated nursery play space and access to the school farm to the north. It also allows for sharing spaces with Reach Academy Feltham Nursery.

No. Families must apply separately through the local authority’s Common Application Form. Hounslow coordinates school admission; the 15 January 2025 deadline applied to September 2025 entry.

Use the school’s contact form or call 02088311620. For admissions questions, email admissions@reachacademy.org.uk, specifying that your enquiry concerns Hanworth Park’s nursery.
