Language, early mathematics and making friends give Brindishe Green's early years provision its character. The nursery belongs to the community primary school on Beacon Road, where the school age range begins at three. Within the three-storey building, the youngest children occupy the ground floor: a concrete distinction between their base and the accommodation for older pupils.
Ofsted graded the school's early years provision Good following its September 2023 inspection. That judgement covers early years within the school, rather than a separately inspected nursery. For parents, the useful detail lies in the findings about communication, mathematical foundations and children's growing social confidence.
Communication has a clear place in early learning. In September 2023, children in early years had opportunities to develop language and communication, while their mathematical foundations were secure. These are practical priorities for a young child: expressing an idea, understanding someone else and beginning to make sense of mathematical concepts.
Friendships matter alongside learning. Children in early years were confident across different social situations and formed friendships with one another. That gives parents a picture of development extending beyond individual tasks, with learning to relate to other children part of the experience.
The wider building has classrooms and additional shared learning spaces, including outdoor learning areas and studios for music, dance and art. These describe the school's physical setting; the early-years findings give the more relevant picture of what its youngest children develop there.
Support for special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) sits within the Brindishe Federation's mainstream approach. Its provision includes extra adult help, adapted teaching, specific learning materials and small changes to buildings. The combination addresses both learning needs and physical access, rather than treating support as a single intervention.
Parents and carers are involved in that approach. Children's progress is tracked, and specialist advice from outside school can be sought when necessary. For a family whose child needs additional help, this provides a framework for discussing needs and reviewing how support is working.
Separate admission. Attending Brindishe Green's nursery does not guarantee a Reception place. Families must apply again through the normal Reception admissions process and meet its deadline. Treat choosing the nursery and securing a school place as two separate decisions.

For planning family commitments, the school's autumn half-term in 2026 runs from 26 to 30 October, and the autumn term ends on 18 December. The school also has an INSET day on 27 November 2026. Keep those dates alongside childcare arrangements when organising the months ahead.
