Schools in Northallerton

The administrative capital of North Yorkshire, Northallerton has served the Vale of Mowbray as a market town and county seat since the eleventh century, when William II granted its lands to the Bishop of Durham. Around 17,000 people live across the parish.

Northallerton itself is among the most school-competitive settings in the vale, and Mill Hill is the residential pocket families most actively target for school catchments. Romanby and Morton-on-Swale form the quieter suburban spread to the south and west. Northallerton station on the East Coast Main Line puts Darlington around fifteen minutes away and York within half an hour.
