Speaking, listening and learning to manage feelings give All Saints Nursery its character. This is the nursery provision within All Saints CofE Primary School and Nursery in Nuneaton, on Knebley Crescent, serving three-year-olds. The emphasis is on the foundations children need before formal schooling takes its next step.
Ofsted judged the school's early years provision Outstanding at the inspection on 18 and 19 March 2025. That judgement covers early years within the school; it is not a separate nursery inspection outcome.
Language receives close attention. In March 2025, nursery children had skilled adult support to develop their speaking and attentive listening. They sustained concentration and kept trying when learning something new. For parents, those are useful signs of a day that develops the ability to engage with an activity, rather than simply keeping children occupied.
Early writing also involves preparation before the written marks themselves. In March 2025, staff had changed early years activities to strengthen fine motor development after recognising that children needed more help with writing. The practical emphasis was on developing the small movements needed for that next step. This connects physical development with learning, rather than treating writing as an isolated task.
Emotional learning begins in Nursery too. Adults help children recognise their feelings and learn how to handle them in ways suited to their age. Alongside speaking and listening, this gives the nursery day a clear social purpose: learning how to express yourself and respond to other people.
Support for children with additional needs was exceptional across early years in March 2025. Staff used detailed guidance to shape the help children received. For a family considering provision for a child with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), the significant detail is that support was adapted to children's needs, rather than resting on a general promise of inclusion.
Helping children manage emotions is part of the adult role from Nursery onwards. That matters during the everyday frustrations of learning and playing alongside others: care includes helping children understand their reactions, as well as responding to them.
Nursery attendance does not guarantee a Reception place. Families must make a separate Reception application through the normal admissions route and meet the deadline for their child's entry year. Treat choosing the nursery and applying for school as two separate decisions, even though the provision shares the All Saints name.

Attendance. In March 2025, persistent absence was a concern across the school, with children missing continuity in their learning and opportunities for personal and social development. This was a school-wide improvement issue, rather than a nursery-specific finding. For families, it reinforces the value of establishing a regular pattern of attendance so children can build on their learning and relationships.
