Schools in Prenton

On the eastern flank of the Wirral Peninsula, Prenton occupies a residential ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, with the M53 motorway marking its western boundary since the 1974 local government reorganisation brought the area into Merseyside.

Oxton, immediately to the north, is widely regarded as one of the most school-competitive corners in this part of the peninsula, and Prenton itself has long drawn families competing for primary places across the ward. Noctorum lies just to the west. Merseyrail Wirral Line services connect the wider area to Liverpool Central in around fifteen minutes. Around 14,000 people live across the ward today.
