Indoors and outdoors they met physical challenges, although inspectors asked leaders to improve routines so outdoor learning could be used more fully.

In September 2022, responsive staff built close relationships, followed children's interests and supported emotional wellbeing. Inclusion was a standout: specialist input and family knowledge were brought together around children with special educational needs and disabilities. Practitioners used observation to choose what came next. Parents remained part of that process through conversations and learning journals linking progress at nursery with achievements at home.

Safeguarding was effective at the September 2022 inspection. Staff understood how to identify and report concerns, monitor non-attendance and act on concerns about colleagues. Children also practised dressing, handwashing and mealtime routines, building useful independence.
