Relationships appeared warm and respectful. Children self-registered, staff greeted them warmly, and adults modelled manners while helping children manage emotions. Parents received comprehensive handovers. At meals, children served their own portions and poured water, turning a routine task into practice in independence.

SEND support combined individual learning plans with targeted adult help. This matters because support responded to each child’s observed needs rather than sitting only in a policy. Adults also helped children regulate their emotions and encouraged younger children to share and take turns. That combination joins individual planning to the ordinary social demands of a nursery day.

Safeguarding needs a dated account. Ofsted found arrangements effective in March 2024. After a safeguarding notification, a March 2026 regulatory review required policies and procedures to be understood and applied consistently by all staff. The provider revised them and delivered staff training; Ofsted recorded the action as met and the setting remained registered. Leaders now need to demonstrate that the training is embedded in everyday practice.
