Familiar routines and visual aids helped children understand the day. Younger children put puzzles away and older children returned tricycles to the shed, while staff helped children manage emotions and learn to share resources. For children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, staff tailored support around individual developmental goals, including direct adult attention.

Staff worked with parents on children's health, knew their allergies and dietary needs, and provided nutritious snacks. Ofsted found safeguarding effective in September 2023: staff understood how to recognise and report concerns, while recruitment, induction and suitability checks were thorough.
