That turns an ordinary outing into a useful bridge between observation, memory and speech.

Creative work gave children genuine choices. They selected materials, decided how to join, match, cut and stick them, counted items and explored shapes while producing large-scale work. The nursery works within the Early Years Foundation Stage. In parent terms, that means play, conversation and guided activity build communication, physical, personal and early academic development together rather than dividing a young child's day into school-style lessons.

Physical activity had equal weight. Children rode bikes and scooters, balanced through obstacle courses and joined parachute games with staff in the outdoor area. These experiences exercised coordination and confidence, while the inspection's account of children playing well together shows that social learning sat alongside movement.

Babies received focused attention in May 2023, responded positively and became confident exploring their surroundings. Across the setting, strong key-person attachments helped children settle into well-managed routines. Parents valued both the care and the daily communication they received.

The inspection found safeguarding arrangements effective. Staff understood signs that a child might be at risk and knew the reporting procedures; secure premises, routine checks and monitored documentation supported that work. Leaders also sought parents' views and worked with the local authority to improve an inclusive provision.

There were two useful qualifications to the Good judgement. Ofsted asked the nursery to improve information sharing with all parents and to organise some adult-led activities so quieter children remained more engaged. A later regulatory visit in August 2025 found that some requirements linked to a notified staff-to-child ratio incident had not been met, but recorded that the provider had acted to put matters right through leadership cover and strengthened procedures. The provider remained registered.
