Diligent Offspring's regulatory record is decisive. Ofsted judged the provision Inadequate on 17 September 2025, found safeguarding ineffective and concluded that serious failures left children insufficiently protected. The regulator later cancelled the provider's registration, with the cancellation becoming final in February 2026 after no tribunal appeal was made. This is therefore not a current childcare option.
The setting operated from the Church of St. Augustine Church Hall, 152 Wembley Hill Road, Wembley, HA9 8EW. Its former capacity was 40 children.
In September 2025, the planned curriculum was poorly translated into child-relevant learning, and adult-led moments often failed to hold or include the group. The Early Years Foundation Stage covers communication, physical and personal development alongside literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts. In practice, it should turn children's starting points into purposeful play and a sequence of next steps. At this setting, observations were not converted into deliberate next-step activities.
There were some concrete experiences. Daily outdoor play gave children opportunities for active movement. Basic hygiene and healthy-eating routines were also in place. Those routines did not outweigh the serious weaknesses across education, care and leadership.
In September 2025, the key-person arrangements did not provide sufficiently individualised care. Staffing deployment also did not consistently ensure suitable supervision. Inspectors also found inadequate arrangements for children with SEND and weaknesses in how staff managed behaviour.
Safeguarding was not effective. Although staff understood how to identify and report child-protection concerns, staff did not reliably follow controls on mobile phones, while leaders failed to provide adequate oversight. Later compliance visits found required improvements remained incomplete.
Ofsted served welfare notices after the inspection, then suspended the registration in November 2025 after assessing that continued operation posed a possible danger to children. After an unsuccessful objection, the regulator issued its cancellation decision in January 2026. With no appeal within the permitted period, cancellation became final and the provider ceased to be registered.
Diligent Offspring does not suit families seeking any attendance pattern because it is no longer registered to provide childcare. The September 2025 inspection identified widespread failures in safeguarding, education, key-person care, SEND support and leadership; subsequent regulatory visits did not secure all required improvements. The later suspension and completed cancellation make the decision clear.
