Harmony Montessori Nursery is a 50-place, full-day-care setting in Preston Park Cricket Pavilion, Wembley. A full Ofsted inspection on 5 December 2022, published in 2023, judged it Good across education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Inspectors found children happy, curious and highly engaged, with good progress supported by staff who knew them well.
The setting's registered name includes Montessori, but that name does not mean a verified Montessori framework or child-led model is in use; the available material does not establish a named teaching approach. Current session patterns, accepted ages and room names are also unpublished.
In December 2022, babies smiled, babbled and experimented with sounds. Staff used favourite songs, props, books, story baskets, narration and new vocabulary to develop communication. Older children made candy-cane decorations from pipe cleaners and coloured beads while talking about decorations at home. These are specific examples of adults connecting talk, fine-motor work and children's experience.
Low shelves made resources accessible to babies and older children. Outdoors, children built obstacle courses with tyres and crates, pretended to cook with ladles, sticks, leaves and heavy metal pots, and walked or ran in the large local park. A limitation was also identified: younger children could not always move resources between areas, reducing their opportunities to make choices and direct their own learning.
Young children had strong attachments to their key persons in December 2022. Key persons knew children's wellbeing, progress and next steps in depth, while the manager and special educational needs coordinator sought early help for families when required. Parents especially valued progress in communication and language.
Independence was practical. Babies fed themselves breakfast with spoons; older children served meals, grated cheese, then washed and dried their plates. Safeguarding arrangements were effective in December 2022. Staff were equipped to protect children and respond to concerns.
The registered address is Harmony Montessori Nursery School, Preston Park Cricket Pavilion, Montpelier Rise, Wembley, HA9 8RG. The official record lists 50 registered places and categorises the provider as full day care on non-domestic premises.
Current opening hours, bookable session patterns, accepted ages, funded-entitlement arrangements, meals and consumables charging, and prices are unpublished. These practical details remain essential to a decision.
The strongest documented qualities are warm key-person attachments, language-rich interaction, practical independence and energetic outdoor play. The December 2022 evidence also leaves a clear improvement question around child-led choice. Harmony Montessori Nursery may suit families who value those qualities, but the evidence does not support recommending particular attendance patterns: parents considering either regular full-day care or any part-week arrangement still need the nursery's current pattern and age details.
Ofsted judged the nursery Good on 5 December 2022. Children were happy, curious and engaged, made good progress, and had effective safeguarding arrangements.
The frozen official evidence does not publish accepted ages or room names. Both remain questions for the nursery.
The inspection describes songs, story baskets, practical food preparation, obstacle courses and imaginative outdoor play. Communication, independence and physical exploration were recurring strengths.
The available official evidence does not establish the nursery's current funded-entitlement offer or how funded hours are delivered. Written terms specific to this setting are needed.
The provider is registered as full day care, but that classification is not a booking model. Current session types, times and minimum attendance are unpublished.
