Outdoor activity had real substance. Children practised physical skills on outdoor equipment and talked in depth with staff about what they could see and hear during a park outing. These exchanges gave new vocabulary a direct connection to children's surroundings.

Relationships were a clear strength at the 2025 inspection. Staff knew children well, and children were emotionally secure, kind and respectful. Consistent routines helped them understand expectations; singing at carpet time signalled that it was time to finish an activity and gather together.

Support for speech and language combined external professional input with daily small-group work on social skills, engagement, attention, confidence and communication. Termly assessments identified children's next learning, while staff worked with parents and professionals to support children with SEND. Parents also reported clear communication about learning and support at home.
