Two precise improvement priorities were identified. Staff need to expose children to a broader vocabulary more consistently, and group activities need stronger preparation so that space, the number of children and the necessary resources support learning fully.

Relationships are a strength. Children developed secure attachments with their key person, helping them feel safe, while staff worked with parents to understand starting points and interests. Families told the inspector that staff kept them informed about learning and development.

Independence is built through manageable routines. Children used a wiping nose station, disposed of tissues themselves and received gentle, consistent support with toileting. Staff held high expectations for children with special educational needs and disabilities and supported them towards their next stage of learning.

Safeguarding arrangements were effective in April 2025, with an open, positive safeguarding culture that put children's interests first. Leadership supported staff welfare, professional development and oversight of teaching.
