In December 2024, children were confident and self-motivated in their learning. Mathematics was a clear strength. Older children constructed shapes with wooden rods, counted objects against written numerals and learned comparative vocabulary. Language work reached beyond songs and rhymes: some older children were beginning to read simple words, while practitioners introduced ambitious vocabulary in conversation.

Indoor and outdoor checks took place daily, hygiene routines reduced cross-infection risk and children learned road safety and safe use of tools and materials. There are two clear improvement points. Leaders were asked to develop partnerships with all the other people involved in children's care and learning. Staff deployment was effective in most group rooms but inconsistent during some whole-group discussions and song times.
