Settling is planned child by child. Staff work with parents to decide how each child will become comfortable in the setting, an approach consistent with the exceptionally secure key-person relationships observed in July 2022. Children were eager to play with familiar adults, and staff celebrated their cultures and home languages.

Ofsted found safeguarding effective in July 2022. Staff understood signs of abuse, reporting routes and risks including radicalisation and county lines; they supervised play and meals and responded quickly to hazards. Support for children with special educational needs and disabilities involved parents and external agencies, while trained staff adapted teaching to close learning gaps.

Staff respected children's boundaries during personal care and challenging activities, helping them develop an early voice in decisions about their bodies. The nursery also publishes that it employs a cook who promotes balanced eating and encourages children to try new foods.
