Schools in Accrington

One of the twelve founding members of the English Football League, Accrington in Lancashire carries a genuinely distinctive industrial and civic heritage, from the cotton mills that once lined the culverted River Hyndburn to the Accrington NORI bricks that went into the foundations of Blackpool Tower and the Empire State Building. Around 35,000 people live across the borough today, and Northern rail services reach Manchester Victoria in around an hour.

West End is among the most sought-after pockets for primary catchments, while Clayton-le-Moors and Huncoat extend the residential spread to the east of the town centre. Baxenden sits further south.
