Schools in Amersham

One of Buckinghamshire's oldest market towns, Amersham divides into two distinct characters: Old Amersham, where the thirteenth-century parish church of St Mary's stands among coaching inns in the River Misbourne valley, and Amersham-on-the-Hill, the Edwardian suburb that grew from the Metropolitan Railway's arrival. Around 15,000 people live across the civil parish.

Amersham station now connects families to Baker Street in around forty minutes on the Metropolitan line. Little Chalfont, to the northeast, is widely regarded as one of the most school-competitive corners of this part of Buckinghamshire, while Amersham's own catchments draw families competing for primary and secondary places.
