Schools in Banbury

Banbury Cross and the warm ironstone street frontages of the town centre give this north Oxfordshire market town on the River Cherwell its distinctive character, rooted in centuries of cross-county trade between Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire. The town's commercial tradition stretches from its medieval market charter through to the Jacobs Douwe Egberts coffee plant, built in 1964, once the world's largest of its kind. Around 54,000 people live in the parish today.

Wykham Park and Bloxham draw families competing for primary places on the town's southern fringe, while Bodicote, the closest village settlement, has long been one of Banbury's most school-competitive pockets for catchment-conscious parents. Grimsbury forms the eastern residential quarter across the railway, with Bretch Hill to the west. Chiltern Railways services reach Oxford in around half an hour, connecting residents to the county's university city and onward rail network.
