Schools in Daventry

A market town expanded substantially from the 1960s onward to absorb overspill growth from the wider Midlands, Daventry is West Northamptonshire's sixth-largest settlement, with residents spread across older centre streets and post-war estates near the Warwickshire border. Around 28,000 people live here today.

Southbrook and Ashby Fields are among the most sought-after pockets for primary catchments, drawing families competing for state school places, and Welton at the northern edge has long been a school-competitive corner of the district. Staverton and Byfield extend into the agricultural hinterland to the south and west. The A45 connects eastward to Northampton, around twelve miles distant, while junction 16 of the M1 places the town on the national road network.
