Schools in Beccles

Market-town streets of Georgian and Victorian brick descend to the River Waveney at Beccles, a market town in East Suffolk on the southern edge of The Broads National Park. Around 10,000 people lived in the town at the 2021 census.

Worlingham, immediately to the north, is among the most sought-after pockets for primary catchments in the area, while Beccles itself has long been a school-competitive corner of East Suffolk for families weighing primary and secondary choices. The East Suffolk Line connects the town to Ipswich, placing a county city roughly an hour away by rail. Gillingham lies a short distance upstream along the Waveney.
