Schools in Beckenham

A prosperous Victorian suburb grown from Kentish farmland, Beckenham now serves around 61,000 residents within the London Borough of Bromley. Eden Park is among the most sought-after pockets for primary school catchments in the area, with Beckenham Green drawing families competing for primary places. The town grew quickly between 1850 and 1900 as the Cator estate released land for suburban villas following the railway's arrival in 1857, pushing the population from roughly 2,000 to more than 26,000 in fifty years. Beckenham Junction connects to London Bridge and Victoria in around twenty minutes on Southern and Southeastern services, and Tramlink stops near the western edge reach Croydon.
