Schools in Blandford Forum

A compact Georgian market town of around ten thousand on the River Stour, Blandford Forum in north Dorset was largely rebuilt to a unified design following a devastating fire in 1731, the work of local architects John and William Bastard.

Bryanston and Durweston, lying immediately north and west, draw families competing for primary catchments. Milton Abbas, a preserved planned village set among rolling downland, is among the most sought-after pockets for school catchments in the wider district. Spetisbury and Shillingstone line the valley beyond. Road links run south to Poole and Bournemouth for rail connections, and north-east to Salisbury.
