A compact spa town of around 25,000 in the Wychavon district, Droitwich Spa traces its mineral heritage to Roman Salinae, when workers first drew brine from the salt deposits beneath the River Salwarpe. King John granted the charter in 1215. The Spa suffix arrived six centuries later, when John Corbett opened saline baths and drew visitors to the concentrated mineral waters.

Cutnall Green is among the most sought-after pockets for primary school catchments in the district, while Himbleton and Westacre draw families who prefer the quieter rural edge of northern Worcestershire. Cross-Country rail services from Droitwich Spa station reach Worcester in around ten minutes and Birmingham New Street in roughly twenty-five.
