Schools in Dunstable

A royal foundation since 1131, when Henry I established an Augustinian priory at the crossroads of Watling Street and the Icknield Way, Dunstable has grown into a Bedfordshire market town of around 41,000 people. The town sits east of the Chiltern Hills, where chalk escarpments rise steeply to the north, and merges with Houghton Regis to form the western end of the Luton-Dunstable urban area.

Harlington and Brewers Hill are among the most school-competitive corners of the town, drawing families who plan carefully around primary catchments, while Houghton Regis is well regarded for its state school options. Queensbury and Edlesborough extend the residential spread. The Luton-Dunstable Busway connects to Luton railway station, from which Thameslink services reach St Pancras International in around thirty minutes.
