Schools in Eastleigh

Originally a scattering of villages, Eastleigh was remade into a railway town by the London and South Western Railway in the 1890s, when locomotive works brought workers to the River Itchen valley in Hampshire, between Southampton and Winchester. The river remains a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Boyatt Wood and Fair Oak extend the residential offer eastward through the borough.

Chandler's Ford is widely regarded as one of the borough's most competitive postcodes for state school places, while Valley Park draws families looking to secure primary catchments to the north. Around 24,000 people live in the town today, with trains from Eastleigh station reaching Southampton in under ten minutes on the South Western Main Line.
