Schools in Romsey

Romsey Abbey, the largest parish church in Hampshire, dominates a compact medieval town centre set along the chalk-clear River Test in Test Valley. The 2019 remodelling of the town centre removed the central roundabout and created a pedestrianised square, where a statue of Lord Palmerston, the nineteenth-century prime minister, has stood since 1857. Around 14,000 people live in the parish today.

Embley and Awbridge are among the most sought-after pockets for school catchments, drawing families competing for primary places. Lockerley and West Wellow lie close by. South Western Railway services connect Romsey to Southampton Central in under twenty minutes.
