Schools in Goole

Planned and built as a canal port in 1826 when the Aire and Calder Navigation Company cut a new waterway through the East Riding of Yorkshire, Goole grew rapidly into the United Kingdom's furthest inland port, sitting roughly fifty miles from the North Sea on the River Ouse. Around 20,000 people live in the town today.

Snaith, a few miles to the west, is among the most sought-after addresses for school catchments in the district, while Goole itself draws families competing for primary places in the town centre. East Cowick, Eastrington, and Howden make up the wider residential spread, served by TransPennine Express services reaching Hull in around forty minutes and Leeds in under an hour.
