Schools in Hailsham

Recorded in Domesday as Hamelesham, Hailsham has grown from an agricultural and market settlement into the administrative centre of the Wealden district in East Sussex, lying around twenty miles inland from the coast. The town holds around 23,000 residents today and retains a market-town character shaped by a long history of industry and agriculture.

Upper Dicker is among the most sought-after pockets for primary school catchments, while central Hailsham draws families competing for state school places across the town. Hellingly lies to the northwest. Polegate station, a short drive east, connects the area to Eastbourne in under ten minutes and Brighton in around thirty minutes via the mainline.
