Schools in Hastings

A seaside borough of around 91,000 along the East Sussex coast, Hastings carries one of English history's most famous names: the Battle of 1066 took place eight miles to the north-west at Senlac Hill, and the town later served as one of the original medieval Cinque Ports.

Blacklands, to the north of the Old Town, is among the most sought-after postcodes for primary catchments, and St Leonards draws families competing for school places along its Victorian terraced streets to the west. The Ridge and Priory lie further inland. St Leonards-on-Sea extends the borough's Victorian seafront edge westward, where Southeastern trains trace the East Sussex coast to Eastbourne in around twenty minutes and on to Brighton within the hour.
