A nursery within a primary school is the defining feature of Oasis Academy Temple’s provision in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. The school has nursery provision and admits boys and girls, with its overall age range running from three to eleven. Those ages describe the school as a whole, rather than a separate nursery age range.
In September 2022, curriculum planning connected early years learning with the knowledge children would develop from Year 1 onwards. That gives the early years a place within a longer learning sequence: the curriculum considers how children’s first learning relates to what follows at school.

Attending Oasis Academy Temple’s nursery does not guarantee a Reception place. Nursery admission and Reception admission are separate processes, so families must apply again through the normal Reception application route and meet the relevant deadline. Treat the nursery decision and the later school-place application as two distinct steps.
