A purpose-built school provides the backdrop to Park Primary’s nursery provision in Rainham. Spacious classrooms are a feature of the school building, placing the nursery within a modern primary-school setting rather than a separate childcare establishment. Park Primary belongs to Partnership Learning Multi-Academy Trust and is mixed; the school’s age range begins at three.
The school aims to develop curiosity, confidence and compassion. Its RESPECT values include empathy, courage and perseverance, giving families a concrete sense of the attitudes it wants children to develop alongside learning. We hold no published inspection grade for this nursery.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provides the school’s framework for early learning and development. In plain parent language, its purpose is to build children’s knowledge, understanding and skills as a foundation for later learning. This is a developmental starting point, rather than a description of a timetable.
Named early-years curriculum themes give that framework some character. Cornerstones overviews include Animal Safari, Marvellous Machines and Ready Steady Grow. These provide recognisable themes for families to connect with, while separate literacy and Charanga music overviews show that early-years planning also addresses reading-related learning and music.
Across the school, Park Primary aims to combine basic skills with creativity and artistic expression. It also uses local surroundings and places further afield for learning. These are school-wide intentions and arrangements; the early-years theme names give the more specific picture of its curriculum planning.
Responsibility for special educational needs coordination and designated safeguarding leadership sits with the Head of School. The executive leadership role also includes deputy safeguarding responsibility. For parents, this identifies how those responsibilities fit into the school’s leadership structure.
Park Primary says it aims to include children with differing educational needs and abilities. Its stated emphasis on relationships with families matters here: parents have an office contact through which to communicate with the school, rather than having to approach the trust directly.
Nursery attendance does not guarantee a Reception place. Families must make a separate Reception application through the normal admissions route, observing the deadline for their application cycle. Applications to Park Primary go through the London Borough of Havering’s admissions process. Treat choosing the nursery and applying for Reception as separate decisions.
The school office can be reached on 02039092337 or at office@parkprimaryacademy.com, and an online enquiry form provides another contact route. The address is 1 Hart Way, Rainham, RM13 8TD.
Prospective parents are invited to tour the school with a member of the team. That offers a practical opportunity to see the school building before making a decision. The office is staffed from 8:30am to 4:00pm, providing a defined window for telephone contact.
