Play, talk and Christian teaching shape the nursery at Immanuel School. It is the first stage of this small independent school in Romford, taking children from age three. The curriculum helped children develop independence, resilience and empathy, and children made good progress across the areas of learning.
The most concrete published picture of support is educational rather than routine-based. The February 2025 inspection reported that pupils with SEND are identified, given shared support plans and supported with classroom strategies. In early years, activities were well sequenced to support and challenge children.
Parents can raise questions directly with class teachers, receive regular progress updates and attend nursery parents' meetings published in the school diary. Families needing detail on settling, a key-person arrangement, food, toileting or rest should ask the school office before accepting a place, because these practical routines are not set out on the archived nursery page.
Nursery attendance does not guarantee a Reception place. Immanuel's published admissions procedure says children do not have to attend its nursery to secure Reception entry. The shared early years structure may give children continuity in curriculum and surroundings, but that is not an admissions advantage.
