Schools in Thetford

Flanked by the ancient pinewoods of Thetford Forest and threaded by the River Little Ouse, Thetford has anchored the Breckland corner of southwest Norfolk since the Iron Age.

Around 25,000 people live across the town and surrounding parishes, and Watton and Shipdham, the school-competitive belt running north through the heathland, draw families competing for primary places in the district's rural schools. Elveden and Methwold lie further out. Thetford railway station, one of East Anglia's finest surviving pieces of Victorian rail architecture, connects the market town to Norwich via the Breckland line in around thirty minutes.
