Children also used recycling bags in the garden. This is a setting where everyday tasks are used as learning material.

Curriculum and teaching reached the expected standard in April 2026, but leaders were asked to strengthen opportunities for matching, comparing size and recognising patterns. Mathematical thinking now needs to show across play, not only in planned number activities.

Care is attentive and responsive. Babies received flexible settling support, while older children arrived happily, chose resources independently and worked with others. Clear mealtime, tidy-up and transition routines helped children feel secure. Daily grace-and-courtesy sessions developed polite language, kindness and turn-taking, while emotion boards at registration helped children name and manage feelings.

Inclusion was also evaluated at the expected standard. Low-level seating was recorded and targeted physical activities that enabled children with physical needs to participate alongside peers. Staff used visual cues, repetition, consistent language and home-language prompts, with leaders involving external professionals where needed. These are concrete mechanisms rather than a blanket promise about every child.

Ofsted found safeguarding requirements met in April 2026. The report says leaders and those responsible for oversight fulfilled their responsibilities, maintained an open culture and acted on concerns. Leaders had also responded to earlier recommendations and prioritised staff development.
