Albury Nursery

Albury Nursery is a small, morning-only sessional setting whose December 2022 Ofsted inspection found a calm community atmosphere and warm relationships. Relationships were a clear strength in December 2022. Staff helped children settle quickly, used praise and encouragement, and formed strong attachments. The atmosphere was calm, and children felt safe and secure.

Independence also extended to wellbeing. Children discussed handwashing, managed toileting and practised fastening coats. Parents were kept informed about development, and families joined celebrations including Diwali, giving home and nursery a shared point of connection.

Safeguarding arrangements were effective at the inspection. Staff understood safeguarding risks and how to act on concerns.
