That inspection found children happy and confident across the indoor and outdoor areas. Cooking, yoga and language work gave the curriculum breadth, while familiar routines helped children become increasingly independent. These varied experiences made the setting recognisable beyond its address and capacity. The evidence is encouraging, but it is now more than three years old and should be read as a dated picture rather than a description of today's daily practice.

In March 2023, babies moved from cruising around indoor equipment to climbing a slide, while older children developed hand-to-eye coordination by rolling balls at skittles. Young children named animals and copied their sounds through a basket game; older children named and traced alphabet letters. These are concrete examples of the observed curriculum in practice: areas of learning were translated into movement, conversation, play and early mark-making rather than taught as school-style lessons.

Language was woven through the day. Staff introduced vocabulary during play and correctly pronounced numbers, songs and greetings in French and other community languages. Children also cooked and took part in yoga. For a parent, that means learning was not confined to a planned group activity: ordinary play, movement and routines became teaching opportunities.

In March 2023, key persons knew their children well, used observations and interests to plan learning, and supported secure attachments. Children helped serve lunch, put toys away, collected coats for outdoor play and settled for naps. Those small routines gave even younger children repeated chances to practise self-care and responsibility.

The same inspection found effective safeguarding arrangements. Staff understood signs of abuse, referral routes, routine checks and risk assessment. It also identified a specific weakness: information about agreed approaches for individual children was not always shared well enough for every staff member to understand it. Leaders were asked to strengthen that system and continue coaching staff into a more cohesive team.

Children ate warm meals such as tacos, minced beef and salad during the inspection, with staff using lunchtime conversation to discuss healthy eating. This records what happened on that visit; current menus and the treatment of meals and consumables in a quotation need direct confirmation.

• Information sharing. The March 2023 inspection found that not every staff member understood agreed approaches for individual children. Ask what system now ensures that key information follows a child across staff and rooms.
• Later regulatory action. After a significant event notified in August 2023, an Ofsted visit found some requirements were not being met. The provider reviewed risk assessments and staff deployment and trained leaders and staff; families should establish how those revised supervision arrangements operate now.
• Practical offer. The nursery’s current written session, funding and charge structure should be settled before comparison with another setting. That quotation should make clear the attendance patterns sold and the treatment of meals and consumables.

The March 2023 picture is of a friendly setting where children gained independence through purposeful routines and learned language, movement and early literacy through everyday play. The Good judgement and effective safeguarding finding carry weight, but the information-sharing improvement and later regulatory action deserve a direct, current conversation. This will suit families who value practical independence and language-rich play, provided the nursery's present booking pattern and current care systems meet their needs.
