Schools in Billingham

On the north bank of the River Tees, Billingham has been settled since Anglo-Saxon times, though its present town centre was rebuilt in the post-Second World War years on the town's grange. Low Grange is among the most sought-after pockets for primary catchments, while Northfield draws families competing for local school places. The town is home to around 34,000 people today. Within the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, the Billingham Manufacturing Plant anchors the area's identity along the Teesside chemical corridor, while Wolviston and Billingham South extend the residential spread. Trains on the Tees Valley line connect the town to Middlesbrough in around ten minutes.
