Schools in Blyth

Granted a medieval port charter, Blyth developed from 18th-century roots as a coal and shipbuilding centre on the Northumberland coast. The town has undergone significant regeneration since the early 1990s, with the riverside and market place reimagined around the River Blyth and anchored by the Blyth Harbour Wind Farm, an early offshore wind installation. Cowpen sits among the school-competitive neighbourhoods for primary catchments, while Cramlington and Cambois form residential extensions to the town. Around 40,000 people live in the area today. The East Coast Main Line connects to Newcastle Central in approximately forty minutes.
