Schools in Broadstairs

Victorian seafront terraces and chalk-white cliffs define Broadstairs, a coastal town of around 25,000 on the Isle of Thanet in east Kent, positioned between Margate and Ramsgate. The town's name derives from a medieval flight of steps cut into the chalk cliff, once leading to an 11th-century shrine at its summit.

Kingsgate to the north, named after King Charles II's landing in 1683, and Dumpton to the south mark the town's outer compass; Dumpton is widely regarded as one of Thanet's most competitive postcodes for state school places. Westwood and Upton extend the spread inland. Southeastern trains reach Canterbury in under forty minutes.
