Schools in Grimsby

North-east Lincolnshire's largest coastal town and once home to the world's largest fishing fleet in the mid-twentieth century, Grimsby occupies the south bank of the Humber estuary near its meeting with the North Sea. Around 86,000 people live here, the town forming a conurbation alongside Cleethorpes that serves as the cultural and economic centre for much of north and east Lincolnshire. Grimsby Minster and the Fishing Heritage Centre anchor the town's civic and maritime heritage, while the active port continues to shape the working waterfront.

New Waltham and Humberston are among the most school-competitive corners of the area, with families drawn to the southern residential fringe for primary catchments; Wybers Wood extends that belt to the northwest. West Marsh and East Marsh lie near the centre. Regional rail services from Grimsby Town reach Lincoln in around an hour.
